The 2013 Spring Thaw XC course will be the former “Short Course” this year. Putting the “Mountain” back in Mountain Bike Racing! With near twice the Elavation gain and twice the Singletrack Descent as the traditional course for the Elite and Cat 1. Cat 2′s will see a similar course with a little less climbing and descending. Cat 3′s will do the traditional loop they always do.

Elite and Cat 1′s: Start on Glenview dr. and head up the Loop road rd2060 all the way to 4 courners. Then Descend down Martys to the cut over trail to Catwalk, traverse Toothpick to Caterpillar to the White Rabbit Parking Lot to Alice in Wonderland back to the Loop rd and Climb back to Four corners for a repeat of the Descent but with a trip down BTI to the finish at the same location as the Start of the race.

Cat 2: Same as Elite and Cat 1′s except, instead of climbing all the way up to Four Corners the “Second” time, they will only climb up to Upper Caterpillar and start there second Descent from there with the same finish.

Cat 3′s” Start at Glenview and climb the Loop rd rd2060 to Upper Caterpillar and will descend down Upper Caterpillar to the White Rabbit Parking Lot to Alice in Wonderland to BTI to the Finish at the same location as the Start of the race on Glenview.
