Bill Roussel is the kind of person who takes the time to know how everything works. He has the, "Whatever I get myself involved in, I want to do it right, with reliable
equipment" mentality. Whether he's working on mountain bikes, motorcycles, or the new Ashland Mountain Adventures project, I know he will not skip over any detail, and
will always have the best interest of the group in mind. I'm looking forward to our next group excursion, knowing I am using a fun, reliable service with someone who is
extremely enthusiastic about giving bikers and hikers a way to make their hikes/rides more enjoyable.

The guide:
I have been riding with Bill for about six years now. He is an accomplished rider with the downhill racing medals to prove it. In addition to being a skilled rider, he
has helped design and build the DH course at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey California for the past several years. His work experience at the races has not only put
him in contact with a lot of people in the industry but given him knowledge of trail design and bike set up. In fact he just helped me dial in the suspension on my new
Specialized Enduro (thanks again). You can be sure he will be more that happy to pass on any tips he can to make your bike run better or you a better rider. His
enthusiasm is contagious. As your guide/driver you can be confident that he will suggest the best trails based on what type of riding you like or your skill level.
The Trails:
I love the riding in Ashland. Not only is it a beautiful area but it has some fantastic riding. You can find fast and swoopy single track under the trees, big ring high
speed double track, or technical log overs, rock overs and big hits. For the beginners there are also cruiser fire roads with nice views of the valley. The great thing
about Ashland is depending which way you go down you can link any or all of these styles into one ride. Believe me, one drop run will not be enough. One weekend won't be
enough.
The Town:
For those of you that have ridden in Downieville you know how nice it is to have the ride finish in town so you can go straight to the bar...that is...pizza place for
some food. It's the same in Ashland but with a lot more options. Ashland is a cool little college town with nice places to stay, eat, and hang out. It's also known
for it's Shakespeare festival so if you have a significant other that doesn't ride you can dump them off / buy them a ticket for a play. Everyone's happy. If you have
kids be sure to take them to Lithia Park which is next to "downtown" Ashland.
Just so this doesn't sound too much like it came from "Sunset" magazine I will end with "there is some killer freakin riding, you'll be freakin stoked you went, I
can't wait to freakin go...again!" I'm thirsty!
